Step by step
How Naughty Singles works
How Naughty Singles works, in one line: you play first, you meet later, and faces arrive last. Instead of writing a bio and ranking your selfies, you answer short sentence cards about your real life. Every answer teaches the app something about you, and together they build your Match DNA, a compatibility profile across 40 categories.
From there, the people who fit you best appear in your top with a compatibility percentage and a clear reason why you'd connect. There is no like button: you reach out with ten statements of your own, and the conversation is something you earn together in the In Sync chat. Here is the whole journey, from the first card to the free chat.

Compatibility first, faces last: the idea behind the app
Most dating apps start with a face and hope compatibility shows up later. Naughty Singles flips that order. The first thing you share is not how you look but how you live: how you spend a Sunday, what makes a date feel right, where your limits are. Only when there's real affinity does a face come into the picture.
That one decision shapes every screen. It's why onboarding asks for so little, why photos stay blurred for most people, why there are no likes to collect and why the chat has to be unlocked. None of it is about making things harder. It's about making sure that, by the time you talk to someone, you already have a reason to. If you want the emotional version of this idea, read our manifesto.
Naughty Singles in eight screens
From choosing your levels to unlocking the chat: the whole journey, screen by screen.

Part one: how Naughty Singles gets to know you
The first minutes are all about you. No bio to write, no photos to rank, just honest answers.
- 01
Onboarding without a bio
You share only the hard filters: your name, age (18+), gender (woman, man or non-binary), who you want to meet, the age range you're open to, what you're looking for (a relationship, dates, something casual or just exploring) and how far you want to go. No height, no job title, no hobby list. Personality is learned by playing.
- 02
The sentence swipe
Cards show first-person statements like “I plan my whole week on Sunday afternoon.” You answer ME TOO, DON'T CARE or NOT ME. Three answers instead of two, because not caring about something is very different from it simply not being you.
- 03
Deal breakers, now and then
Every so often a card lets you go further: mark it as a deal breaker, or as something you can live with. Deal breakers work as a gate: if you marked something as non-negotiable and someone is far from you on it, that person stays out of your top, and their deal breakers filter theirs.
- 04
Your universe shrinks live
A counter of possibilities moves with every answer, usually down, sometimes up. Cards aren't random: a selector picks the one that tells the app the most about you at that moment. You play in rounds of 25 cards, at your own pace.
- 05
Your Match DNA takes shape
Your answers build a compatibility profile across 40 categories, ten per intensity level. It isn't a label or a personality type. It's a map of affinities that gets compared, category by category, with other people's maps.
What a round of cards feels like
These are real statements from the app. Read each one and notice your gut reaction: that's exactly the answer the card is asking for.
I plan my whole week on Sunday afternoon.
A Friday at home with a good series is a perfect plan.
I'd rather have a date at a dog park than at a bar.
I lose myself in conversations that last until dawn.
I flirt better in writing than in person.
If we're checking the time, something went wrong.
Four opt-in levels: you decide how far it goes
Naughty Singles has four opt-in intensity levels. LIGHT covers your everyday life and is always on. SPICY is flirting and chemistry. HOT is desire. EXTREME is the no-filter level, always framed by consent, limits and respect. You choose how far you want to go, and you will never get a question from a level you didn't turn on.
The golden rule: two people are only compared on the levels both of them chose. If you play up to SPICY and someone else plays up to EXTREME, your compatibility is measured on LIGHT and SPICY only. Nobody is judged on a part of themselves they didn't want to bring to the table, and staying light never counts against you.
Part two: how you meet the right people
Once the app knows you, the order stays the same: compatibility first, conversation next, face last.
- 01
Your top, with reasons
You see the real people most compatible with you, each with a compatibility percentage, a reading per level shown as gems (Connection, Chemistry, Desire, Intensity) and a short “why you'd connect.” The top is elastic: up to 25 people, sometimes fewer, because it only includes people who genuinely fit.
- 02
Photos stay blurred
Without a photo of your own you don't get into the top: nobody looks without being seen. Everyone else sees a blurred version that can't be un-blurred. Your clear photo is only seen by the people who receive your questions and by your match. More on blurred photos.
- 03
First contact: ten statements
The like doesn't exist. To reach someone, you pick 10 of your own statements (5 LIGHT, 3 SPICY, 1 HOT, 1 EXTREME, only from levels they play) and send them with your photo. When they answer with ME TOO, DON'T CARE or NOT ME, it's a match. See first contact.
- 04
In Sync: play before you talk
After the match you don't type yet, you play. One of you picks a question and answers it; the other answers blind with YES, NO or MAYBE; both answers are revealed together. Matching adds points. Not matching doesn't punish you: that's also getting to know someone.
- 05
Free chat, earned together
When you fill the In Sync meter across the levels you share, the free chat opens. By then you've traded plenty of honest answers, so the first message is never an empty “hi.” It's simply the next part of a conversation you already started.
How it's different from the apps you already know
| Swipe-the-face apps | Naughty Singles |
|---|---|
| You judge a face in half a second | You answer sentence cards about real life |
| A bio you have to sell yourself with | No bio: personality is learned by playing |
| Likes, super likes and silent no's | No likes: ten statements, and an answer is a match |
| Yes or no, nothing in between | ME TOO, DON'T CARE or NOT ME, plus deal breakers |
| Matches filtered by how close you live | No city limit: the community is organized by language |
| An empty “hi” and a chat that fades | A chat you unlock by playing In Sync together |
What's free, and what you'll never pay for
Downloading, playing the cards, seeing your top, sending your first invitations, answering the people who write to you, the In Sync game and the free chat are all free. Later on there may be optional extras, such as refining your profile faster, extra sends or highlighting your profile. What you will never pay for is unlocking a person.
The app launches in English, Spanish and Portuguese at the same time, first on Android, with iPhone coming later. You can check the current status on the download page and pre-register right here on the site, and if anything about how Naughty Singles works is still unclear, the FAQ goes into the details. And if you're weighing it against other apps, our page on dating app alternatives compares them honestly.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to write a bio or upload lots of photos?
No. Naughty Singles has no bio, no height, no job title and no hobby list. Onboarding only asks for hard filters like age, gender, who you want to meet and what you're looking for. You do need one photo of your own to enter the top, because nobody looks without being seen, but most people only ever see a blurred version of it.
What's the difference between DON'T CARE and NOT ME?
NOT ME means the statement doesn't describe you. DON'T CARE means it doesn't matter to you either way. That difference is important: someone who doesn't drink and doesn't mind if you do is very different from someone who can't stand it. Having three answers instead of two lets the app capture that nuance, and it makes your compatibility score far more honest.
Can two people match if they saw different cards?
Yes. Each statement measures one category, and what gets compared are the categories, not the individual sentences. So you and someone else can answer completely different cards about daily habits or romance and still be compared fairly on those categories. That's why the app can pick the most informative card for you instead of showing everyone the same list.
Does Naughty Singles use my location?
No. There's no geolocation and no distance filter. The community is organized by language, so you're matched with people who share your language, wherever they happen to be. The idea is that compatibility matters more than proximity. What you do with a great connection, and whether and where you meet, is something the two of you decide together.
Is it only about sex?
No. The four intensity levels are opt-in. LIGHT, which covers everyday life, values, family and romance, is always there, and you choose whether to add SPICY, HOT or EXTREME. Two people are only compared on the levels both chose, and you never get a question from a level you didn't activate. Plenty of people play LIGHT and SPICY only.
