Intensity levels

Intensity levels: the dating app that goes only as deep as you choose

Naughty Singles is a dating app with four intensity levels: LIGHT, SPICY, HOT and EXTREME. Each level is a layer of who you are, from how you live your Sundays to what you want behind closed doors. LIGHT is always on. The other three are opt-in, and you decide how far to go.

The point is simple: two people are only compared on the levels both of them chose. You never get a question from a level you didn't activate, and nobody is measured on ground they never agreed to walk on. That is how a compatibility-first app can talk about everyday life and about desire without ever crossing a line you drew.

Light, Spicy, Hot and Extreme levels for discovering increasingly deeper connections

The four levels, one gem each

Every level has 10 compatibility categories and its own gem in your results. The gem names say what each layer really measures.

Why a dating app needs intensity levels

Most apps treat compatibility as one flat thing. In real life it isn't. Two people can agree on everything from pets to politics and still move at completely different rhythms in private. Others click instantly on a date and then discover they want opposite futures. Splitting compatibility into layers lets each one be measured honestly, at the depth each person is comfortable with.

Intensity levels also solve a quieter problem: comfort. Some singles want to talk about desire from day one. Others would rather keep it to values, humor and flirting, and that is a perfectly valid way to date. With opt-in levels, both kinds of people can use the same app without anyone feeling pushed. If you only want LIGHT and SPICY, you will never see a HOT card, and the people who play HOT will never be compared with you there.

The golden rule: only shared levels count

Your compatibility with someone is calculated only on the levels you both activated. If you chose up to SPICY and they chose up to EXTREME, you meet on LIGHT and SPICY, and nothing else enters the score. The levels you left closed stay closed, in your cards and in your results.

Deeper levels weigh more

Inside the levels you share, the more intimate ones carry more weight, and the weakest level pulls the total down instead of being averaged away. Being identical in daily life does not hide being opposites in desire. You can read the full logic in Match DNA.

How the levels unlock while you play

You pick your maximum level during onboarding. After that, the game opens the way gradually.

  1. 01

    You start in LIGHT

The first cards are about everyday life. They build footing before anything more personal appears.

  2. 02

A progress bar fills as you answer

Every stretch of answers (around fifteen today) unlocks the next level you opted into, with its gem lighting up in the bar.

  3. 03

The newest level takes the lead

Once a level opens, most new cards come from it, with a few from the previous one to keep the picture balanced.

  4. 04

    It stops where you said

The ramp never goes past your choice. If SPICY is your ceiling, SPICY is where the game stays.

How to choose your intensity level

There is no right answer, only an honest one. Choose LIGHT alone if you want compatibility built purely on lifestyle and values. Add SPICY if flirting and chemistry matter to you, which is true for most people. Add HOT if intimate compatibility is part of what you need to know before investing time. Add EXTREME only if it truly reflects you: that level exists for people who already know their limits and want someone who shares them. Choosing fewer levels doesn't make your results worse; it just means fewer layers are compared.

The four levels together make up 40 categories, which you can browse on the compatibility page. Each answer you give feeds one category, and together they become your profile. When you later reach out through first contact, the statements you send also respect the other person's levels: nothing from a level they don't play.

You decide how deep it goes. Nobody is compared where they didn't choose to be.

Frequently asked questions

What are intensity levels in a dating app?

They are layers of compatibility you opt into. In Naughty Singles there are four: LIGHT for everyday life, SPICY for flirting and chemistry, HOT for intimate desire and EXTREME for consensual intensity with clear limits. LIGHT is always active. You choose the highest level you want, and the app only asks and compares within that range.

Will I see HOT or EXTREME questions if I don't choose them?

No. You never receive a card from a level you didn't activate. The game ramps up only to the maximum level you picked during onboarding, and your compatibility with each person is calculated only on the levels you both share. If you stop at LIGHT or SPICY, the more intimate levels simply don't exist for you.

Can I be matched with someone who chose different levels?

Yes. You are compared on the levels you have in common. If you chose up to SPICY and someone else chose up to EXTREME, your score uses LIGHT and SPICY only. The extra levels they play are ignored in your pairing, and the same goes in the other direction.

Does choosing more levels improve my compatibility score?

Not by itself. More levels mean more layers are compared, so the picture is richer, but the score can go up or down depending on how well you actually fit. Intimate levels weigh more and the weakest shared level pulls the total down, so honesty matters more than quantity.

Who can see my answers in HOT and EXTREME?

Nobody sees your individual answers. They shape your compatibility profile, and the comparison runs on the server. Other people see a compatibility percentage and a reading per level, not what you answered card by card. And those intimate levels are only compared with people who opted into them too.
