Personality first
A personality-based dating app where you never write a bio
Looking for a personality-based dating app? Here's how Naughty Singles approaches it: there's no bio to write, no prompts to be witty in, no list of hobbies. Your personality is learned by playing. You answer short first-person statements about your habits, values, plans and way of loving, and the app turns those answers into a compatibility profile. Then it shows you the real people who fit it best, with faces last.
If you've ever stared at an empty bio box and thought “none of this will sound like me,” this is for you.

Why dating profiles hide your personality
A bio is a performance. You have a few lines to seem interesting, relaxed, funny and serious at the same time, and so does everyone else. The result is familiar: people who love travel, good food and laughing, and who are looking for someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously. It tells you almost nothing.
What actually reveals personality is small and concrete. Whether you plan your week or improvise. Whether you'd trade salary for free time. Whether you think getting bored together is a kind of love. People rarely write those things in a bio, because they don't sound impressive. But they're exactly what makes two lives fit together, or grind against each other, six months in.
How this personality-based dating app works
- 01
Hard filters only
Onboarding asks for your name, age, gender, who you're looking for, their age range, what you're after and how far you want to go. That's it. No bio, height, job title or hobbies.
- 02
You answer statements, three ways
Cards show first-person statements. You answer ME TOO, DON'T CARE or NOT ME. Indifference and disagreement are different, and the app keeps them apart. Rounds are 25 cards, chosen for how much they reveal.
- 03
You mark what's non-negotiable
Now and then you can flag an answer as a deal breaker, or as something you can live with. If you marked something as non-negotiable and someone is far from you on it, that person won't appear in your top; each person's deal breakers filter their own top.
- 04
Your Match DNA takes shape
Your answers build an affinity in each of 40 categories, ten per intensity level. That map is your Match DNA, and it keeps sharpening as you play.
- 05
You see who fits, and why
Your top shows real people ranked by compatibility, up to 25, each with a percentage, a reading per level and a short explanation of why you'd connect.
A personality map, not a personality type
Many apps that call themselves personality-based sort you into a type and match you with a compatible label. We don't do that. You won't be told you're a particular four-letter type, and nobody will be matched with you because of one.
Instead, each statement measures one concrete category, like daily habits, beliefs and values, money, social life, romance or flirting. Categories match, not sentences: two people don't need to have seen the same cards, because what gets compared is their affinity in each category. The comparison runs in both directions, the more intimate levels weigh more, and a big gap in one level pulls the total down instead of being averaged away.
It's a transparent, deterministic algorithm. No guessing, no hidden score about how attractive you are. And other people's affinity profiles never reach your phone; the calculation runs on the server. You can explore every category on the compatibility page.
The kind of statements that reveal personality
Real cards from the app. Small, specific, and far more telling than “I love to laugh.”
I end the day writing in a notebook about how it went.
I don't trade my principles to please anyone.
An expensive dinner means nothing if the plan has no heart.
I'd take an improvised trip over a rigid itinerary any day.
Getting bored with the right person is a form of love.
Being an aunt or uncle at heart is enough; I don't need to be a parent.
Letting your personality speak first
Personality doesn't stop at the matching stage. When you want to reach someone in your top, there's no like button and no “hey.” You send a first contact: ten of your own statements, chosen by you, along with your photo. The other person answers them with ME TOO, DON'T CARE or NOT ME, and that answer is the match.
Think about what that means. The first thing someone learns about you is something you actually believe or do, in your own words, not a line you borrowed to break the ice. And after the match you play In Sync, trading questions and blind answers before the free chat opens, so personality keeps leading the way.
Tips for letting your real personality show
Answer as you are, not as you'd like to be
If you aspire to wake up at six but never do, say NOT ME. You're matching with people who will live with the real you, weekends included.
Use DON'T CARE generously
The middle answer isn't a cop-out. It tells the app where you're flexible, which widens your top without diluting what matters to you.
Save deal breakers for real limits
Mark only what would end things. Our guide to relationship deal breakers helps you tell a limit from a preference.
Pick your ten statements with care
Choose the ones that sound most like you, including a slightly unexpected one. Specific beats safe every time.
Frequently asked questions
What is a personality-based dating app?
It's a dating app that matches people on who they are rather than mainly on photos. Naughty Singles does this without a bio: you answer first-person statements about habits, values, plans and romance, the app builds a compatibility profile in 40 categories, and it shows you the real people who fit it best, with photos blurred until you connect.
Does Naughty Singles use personality types?
No. It doesn't sort you into a type or match you by label. Each statement measures one concrete category, like daily habits or money, and the app compares your affinity category by category with other people's. It's a transparent, deterministic algorithm, and the comparison runs in both directions.
Do I have to write a bio?
No. There's no bio, height, job title or hobby list. Onboarding asks only for the hard filters: name, age, gender, who you're looking for, their age range, what you're after and how far you want to go. Everything else is learned by playing the cards.
How many questions do I need to answer?
There's no fixed number. You play in rounds of 25 cards, and each card is selected because it adds the most information at that point. Your top appears and keeps sharpening as you play. You can stop after any round and continue whenever you like.
Can I see how compatible I am with someone?
Yes. Every person in your top comes with a compatibility percentage, a reading for each level you share and a short explanation of why you'd connect. You won't see their full answers or their affinity profile, which never leaves the server.
