Your compatibility profile

Match DNA: a compatibility profile for dating, built by playing

Match DNA is your compatibility profile for dating on Naughty Singles. You don't fill it in; you play it. Every sentence card you answer with ME TOO, DON'T CARE or NOT ME adds a little detail, and together those answers draw a map of your affinities across 40 categories, ten for each intensity level.

That map is what the app compares with other people's to build your top: the real people you're most compatible with, each with a percentage and a reason why you'd connect. Below you'll find what the profile contains, how the score is calculated in plain language and what stays private.

Relationship compatibility based on multiple dimensions of interests, personality and chemistry

What a compatibility profile is, and what it isn't

A classic dating profile is a sales pitch: a handful of photos, a clever bio, a list of things you think will sound good. A compatibility profile works the other way around. It isn't something you write about yourself; it's something that emerges from how you react to concrete situations, one card at a time.

Your Match DNA is not a label, a personality type or a horoscope. It doesn't tell you who you are. It records, category by category, what fits you and what doesn't, so it can find people whose answers line up with yours. It also isn't a black box: it's a transparent, deterministic algorithm. The same answers always produce the same result, and there's no mystery ingredient deciding for you.

That's why onboarding on Naughty Singles is so short. There's no bio because the way the app works is to learn your personality by playing, not by asking you to describe it.

The 40 categories of your compatibility profile

Forty categories, grouped into four opt-in levels of ten. You only play the levels you choose. Explore them one by one in the 40 compatibility categories.

LIGHT · Connection

Your everyday life, always included: daily habits, pets, drinking and smoking, fitness and health, family and kids, beliefs and values, money and ambition, social life, travel and adventure, and romance. The part of compatibility that makes sharing a Tuesday easy.

SPICY · Chemistry

Flirting and chemistry: attraction, chemistry, flirting, making the first move, dating style, flirty texting, public affection, desire, senses and temptation. How you like to be approached, how you play, how a spark turns into something more.

HOT · Desire

The intimate side, described with care: your style in intimacy, rhythm and energy, fantasies, visual play and role play. Ten categories you only see if you turn this level on, compared only with people who turned it on too.

EXTREME · Intensity

The no-filter level for open minds: consensual power dynamics, agreed limits and taboos, watching and being watched, and less conventional tastes. Always framed by consent, limits and respect, and always your choice to include.

Where your Match DNA comes from

Each card measures exactly one category. These real statements from the app feed habits, values, money, romance, attraction and desire.

Daily habitsLIGHT

I can't sleep if the room is messy.

Beliefs & valuesLIGHT

My moral compass doesn't change depending on who I'm with.

Money & ambitionLIGHT

I'd rather earn less and have time for what matters to me.

RomanceLIGHT

Getting bored with the right person is a form of love.

AttractionSPICY

I'm drawn to people who are comfortable in their own skin.

DesireSPICY

I need to feel mutual desire, not be the only one looking for it.

How the compatibility score works, simply

No jargon, no hidden magic. This is the logic behind the percentage you see in your top.

  1. 01

    One card, one category

Every statement measures a single category. From all your answers in that category, the app works out your affinity there. More answers, sharper picture.

  2. 02

    Categories match, not sentences

You and someone else don't need to have seen the same cards. What gets compared is your affinity in each category, so different cards about daily habits still meet on common ground.

  3. 03

Category by category, level by level

The comparison runs category by category, and only on the levels you both chose. The more intimate levels weigh more, because a mismatch there matters more.

  4. 04

    The weakest level counts

Scores aren't blindly averaged. If you're identical in everyday life but opposite in desire, your total goes down. A great LIGHT match can't hide a real gap somewhere else.

  5. 05

    Deal breakers are gates

If you marked something as a deal breaker and someone is far from you on it, that person simply doesn't appear in your top, whatever the percentage. Their deal breakers filter their top the same way. Learn more about dating with clear deal breakers.

Reciprocal, private and computed on the server

Compatibility on Naughty Singles is reciprocal. It's calculated in both directions, so it's never just about whether someone fits you; it's also whether you fit them. That's part of why your top feels mutual rather than one-sided.

It's also private by design. The comparison runs on the server, and another person's affinity profile never reaches your phone. You never see someone's Match DNA, and nobody sees yours. What you do see is the result: a compatibility percentage, a reading per level shown as gems (Connection, Chemistry, Desire, Intensity) and a short explanation of why you'd connect.

The four intensity levels add another layer of respect. Two people are only compared on the levels both chose, so if you stay at LIGHT, everyday compatibility, nothing about the more intimate levels is ever part of your score, or anyone else's view of you.

What your Match DNA gives you in the app

Your compatibility profile turns into something very concrete: a top of the real people most compatible with you. It's elastic, up to 25 people and sometimes fewer, because the point is quality, not volume. Each person comes with the percentage, the gems and the “why you'd connect,” so before you ever see a clear photo you already know what you have in common.

From there, your Match DNA keeps working in the background. When you reach out through first contact, you send ten statements that describe you, and the other person's answers show how your worlds meet. Frequently asked questions

What is a compatibility profile in dating?

It's a profile built from how you answer concrete situations rather than from a bio you write. On Naughty Singles, your compatibility profile is called Match DNA: every sentence card you answer feeds one of 40 categories, and the app compares those categories with other people's to show you who fits you best, with a percentage and a reason why you'd connect.

Can other people see my Match DNA?

No. The calculation runs on the server, and nobody's affinity profile is ever sent to anyone else's phone. Other people never see your individual answers or your category-by-category map. What they see, like what you see, is the result: a compatibility percentage, a reading per level and a short explanation of why you'd connect.

Is Match DNA based on AI or on a personality test?

Neither. It's a transparent, deterministic algorithm: the same answers always give the same result. It doesn't label your personality or guess who you are. It measures your affinity in each category from your own answers and compares it with other people's, category by category, only on the levels you both chose.

Why is my percentage lower than I expected?

Usually because of the weakest level. Match DNA doesn't blindly average your levels: if you're very alike in everyday life but far apart in a more intimate level you both play, the total drops. The more intimate levels also weigh more. Playing more rounds sharpens your profile, which makes the percentage more accurate in both directions.

Do I have to answer the intimate categories?

No. LIGHT is always included, and SPICY, HOT and EXTREME are opt-in. You'll never get a card from a level you didn't activate, and two people are only compared on the levels both of them chose. Choosing to stay at LIGHT or SPICY never lowers your score with anyone.
