LIGHT: everyday compatibility, the ground a relationship stands on
LIGHT is the level of everyday compatibility: how you sleep, spend, travel, rest, love and live with the people around you. It covers 10 categories, from daily habits to romance, and it is the only one of the four intensity levels that is always on. In dating, it answers a question photos never do: could our ordinary Tuesdays actually fit together?
In your results, LIGHT appears as the Connection gem. It is the base layer of your Match DNA, the part that tells you whether two lives can share a kitchen, a calendar and a future.
What everyday compatibility means in dating
Big differences rarely end relationships on day one. Small ones do it slowly. One person plans the week on Sunday and the other lives by improvisation. One needs a dog in the house and the other can't imagine it. One dreams of a full table on holidays and the other is happy being the fun aunt or uncle. None of this shows in a profile picture, and most of it never comes up in a first chat.
LIGHT brings those things to the surface early, without interviews or long questionnaires. You play cards with short first-person statements and answer ME TOO, DON'T CARE or NOT ME. Each card measures one category. Over a few rounds, your answers draw a clear picture of how you live, and the app compares it with other people's pictures category by category.
The result isn't a verdict on who is right. It's a map of where your daily lives would flow easily and where you would need to talk things through. Everyday compatibility is not about being identical; it's about knowing early which differences are fun and which ones are deal breakers.

The 10 LIGHT categories
Daily habits. Morning person or night owl, tidy or relaxed, routine or improvisation. The rhythm of your days. Daily habits compatibility.
Pets. Whether animals are family, a maybe or a no. It sounds small until you try to share a home. Pet compatibility.
Drinking & smoking. How alcohol and tobacco fit into your social life, or don't fit at all. Drinking and smoking compatibility.
Fitness & health. Whether movement clears your head, fills your weekends or stays in the background. Fitness compatibility.
Family & kids. Wanting children, not wanting them, and the role your own family plays in your life. Family and kids compatibility.
Beliefs & values. Principles, convictions and the moral compass you don't switch off depending on company. Shared values compatibility.
Money & ambition. Saving or spending, career or free time, and what an expensive dinner means to you. Financial compatibility.
Social life. Quiet Fridays at home or plans every weekend, big groups or a few close friends. Social life compatibility.
Travel & adventure. Improvised trips or detailed itineraries, and how long your list of places really is. Travel compatibility.
Romance. How you show love, what makes something serious for you and which gestures actually move you. Romantic compatibility.
Examples of LIGHT cards
These statements are real cards from the app. Answer them in your head: ME TOO, DON'T CARE or NOT ME.
I plan my whole week on Sunday afternoon.
I always adopt, never shop.
I don't need a drink to loosen up on a date.
Being an aunt or uncle at heart is enough; I don't need to be a parent.
I'd rather earn less and have time for what matters to me.
A Friday at home with a good series is a perfect plan.
Getting bored with the right person is a form of love.
Why LIGHT is always on
Every other level is optional, but LIGHT isn't, and for a good reason: nobody shares a life only in the bedroom or only on a date. Even the most casual connection runs into schedules, habits and values sooner or later. Keeping LIGHT always active means every pair of people in the app has solid common ground to be compared on.
It also means the first cards you play are gentle. The game starts here, builds footing with everyday statements, and only opens SPICY or the deeper levels if you chose them. If LIGHT is all you want, that is a complete way to use the app.
Deal breakers often live in this level too. From time to time a card lets you mark something as non-negotiable, for example wanting or not wanting kids. If you marked something as non-negotiable and someone is far from you on it, that person won't appear in your top; each person's deal breakers filter their own top. Reading the Connection gem
In your top, each person shows a gem per shared level with a short reading. For LIGHT, it sounds like this:
Same values
Your everyday lives point in the same direction. Habits, priorities and plans line up, so living side by side would feel natural rather than negotiated.
Close values
Mostly aligned, with a few differences worth a conversation. Often the most interesting zone: enough in common to feel easy, enough contrast to keep things alive.
Different worlds
Your daily lives run on different tracks. Not a no, just useful to know early. Sometimes different worlds attract; the gem simply tells you the truth first.
Who the LIGHT level is for
Everyone, since it's always on. But it matters most to people who date with the long run in mind. If you are looking for a serious relationship, everyday compatibility is what sustains it once the first spark settles: family plans, money, values, and the simple question of whether you enjoy the same kind of Sunday.
It's also the natural level for people who prefer to keep dating light in content. If you'd rather not bring flirting or desire into the calculation at all, you can play LIGHT only and still get a real compatibility reading.

Frequently asked questions
What is everyday compatibility?
It's how well two people's daily lives fit together: routines, pets, drinking, health, family plans, values, money, social life, travel and romance. In Naughty Singles it's measured by the LIGHT level through short statements you answer with ME TOO, DON'T CARE or NOT ME, and it becomes the Connection gem in your results.
Can I turn off the LIGHT level?
No. LIGHT is always active because every relationship, serious or casual, eventually runs into schedules, habits and values. It's the shared base on which everyone is compared. The other three levels, SPICY, HOT and EXTREME, are optional and you decide whether to add them.
Is LIGHT enough to find a good match?
Yes. If you play only LIGHT, your compatibility is calculated on its 10 categories and you still get a top of real people with a percentage and a reason why you'd connect. Adding more levels makes the picture richer, but it's not required to use the app fully.
Do both people need to answer the same cards?
No. Categories match, not sentences. Each card measures one category, so two people can see different statements and still be compared fairly on, say, family or money. That's why the app can offer so many cards without everyone having to answer all of them.
What does Different worlds mean on the Connection gem?
It means your everyday lives run on different tracks in several categories. It isn't a rejection or a ban; it's information. Some couples enjoy contrast, and others prefer common ground. The reading simply tells you where you stand before you invest time.
